There are moments when we need to make a stand. The high priests were the religious power structures of their day and they didn’t want anything challenging their cultural influence. Yet the apostles knew that they were witnesses of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and that that this was a moment to challenge the status quo. We too are witnesses of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. When we realize this identity, the issues that we need to let pass and the issues where we need to make a stand will become clear.
