The elder statesman Paul is encouraging the young minister Timothy by saying that it is a noble thing to give the best years of your life to serving God and His purposes. The great need for a new generation to flee evil desires and take hold of God’s plan should stoke our prayers. May we see young people who hate sin and love God and may we be used to nurture and release them into their destiny. Our future is counting on it.
